What YEB Translate Does Differently
Most translation tools do one thing: take text in one language and spit it out in another. YEB Translate does that too, but it goes further. It's a workspace where you can translate, explain, summarize, correct, and rephrase text, all from the same screen.
It supports over 105 languages, including regional variants. So if you need British English instead of American, or Latin American Spanish instead of Castilian, you can pick exactly the right one.
What really sets it apart is the context system. Instead of hoping the AI guesses what kind of text you're working with, you tell it. A medical report gets translated with medical terminology. A casual email stays casual. More on that later.

Translating Your First Text
Open translate.yeb.to and you'll see a workspace split into two panels. The left side is where your text goes, the right side is where the result appears.
Paste or type your text into the left panel. It handles up to 50,000 characters, so even long documents work fine.
Next, pick your source language from the dropdown on the left. If you're not sure what language the text is in, hit the Auto-Detect button and the AI will figure it out.
Now pick your target language on the right. Here's something most tools can't do: you can select multiple target languages at once. Need the same text in Spanish, French, and German? Select all three and you'll get separate results for each, displayed as cards you can copy individually.
Hit the Translate button and your result appears on the right. There's a copy button on each result card, and a "copy all" option if you translated into several languages.
One more thing worth mentioning: the swap button between the two language panels flips everything. Source becomes target, target becomes source, and the text moves over too. Handy when you want to translate something back.

Doing More Than Translation
At the top of the workspace you'll see five action buttons. Translation is the default, but the other four are just as useful.
Explain takes complex text and breaks it down in simple terms. Feed it a legal clause or a technical specification, and it'll give you a plain-language explanation. You can even get the explanation in a different language than the original.
Correct fixes grammar, spelling, and punctuation without changing what you said. It keeps your meaning and structure intact and just cleans up the mistakes. This one works in the same language as your input.
Rephrase rewrites your text with different wording. Same language, same meaning, but fresh phrasing. Useful when you've been staring at the same sentence for too long and want a new take.
Summarize condenses long text into a shorter version. You control how many sentences you want, anywhere from 1 to 20. Like Explain, it can output in a different language if you need it.
Switching between actions is one click. The workspace stays the same, your text stays in place, and the submit button label changes to match the action you picked.
The grammar and rephrasing tools work the same way as our standalone AI Grammar Checker, but here they're built right into the translation workspace.
Quick Actions on Selected Text
Sometimes you don't want to process your entire text. Maybe there's one paragraph in a longer document that needs translating, or a single sentence with a grammar issue.
Highlight any portion of your text in the source panel and a small floating toolbar appears on the right side. It has four buttons (Translate, Explain, Correct, and Rephrase) each with its own color so you can tell them apart at a glance.
Click one of those buttons and only your selected text gets processed. The result pops up in a modal window. You can read it, copy it, or dismiss it. Your original text stays untouched in the main panel.
This is especially useful when you're working with a long document and only need to deal with specific sections. No need to copy-paste fragments back and forth.
Finding Synonyms While You Write
Select any single word in your source text and a small popup appears with five synonym suggestions. Each one comes with an accuracy percentage so you can see how close a match it is.
Click a synonym and it replaces the original word right in your text. No copying, no retyping.
The synonyms aren't just pulled from a dictionary. They take your context settings into account, so if you've set a formal tone, you won't get slang suggestions. If you're working in a medical context, you'll get terminology that fits.
Using Contexts for Better Results
This is probably the most powerful feature in YEB Translate, and the one that makes the biggest difference in output quality.
There are two context slots at the top of the workspace: Input Context and Output Context.
Input Context describes what kind of text you're working with. Is it a medical report? A legal contract? A casual blog post? A marketing email? Telling the AI what it's looking at helps it understand domain-specific terms and conventions.
Output Context tells the AI how the result should sound. Do you want formal language? A friendly tone? Technical precision? This shapes the style and vocabulary of the output.
You build contexts by picking from 10 categories (things like Professional, Creative, Industry, Cultural, and Social Role) with 117 options between them. On top of that, there are 22 language settings covering formality level, gender preferences, point of view, emotional tone, measurement systems, and more. That's 78 additional options you can mix and match.
Once you've built a context that works for your needs, save it with a name. Next time you need it, just apply it with one click instead of setting everything up again.
The difference is real. Translate a medical discharge summary with and without a Medical context applied, and you'll see the AI use proper clinical terminology in one version and generic language in the other. Same source text, very different results.
Keeping Track of Your Work
If you use YEB Translate regularly, a few features make your life easier.
Star your most-used languages and they'll appear at the top of the language dropdowns. No more scrolling through 105 languages to find the ones you always pick.
Set a default language pair (say, English to Spanish) and the workspace loads with those pre-selected every time you open it.
The translation history sidebar keeps a record of everything you've processed. Click the clock icon and a panel slides in from the side showing your recent translations, each tagged with the action type and date. Click any entry to load it back into the workspace, whether you want to review it, modify it, or run it through a different action.
You can delete individual history entries or clear everything at once. The dashboard page shows your monthly word count and overall usage stats, so you always know where you stand.
